Happy New Week!
In this week's Mmm, we practice resting in the quiet--no matter what outer sounds are happening, and no matter what internal chatter tries to pull us in different directions. This is how we build our trust in the silence. Take time each day to love yourself! Your practice will support you and put you in the flow of life! Best wishes for your week! Feel the Love, and I'll see you next Monday!

Happy New Week!
In this week's Mmm, I talk a little about human brain evolution--fun stuff! Bottom line? Meditation helps us use more of our brain/mind/conscious awareness--creating new connections in the brain and nervous system, helping us think and live from an expanded perspective. Today, we practiced simply bringing our attention back to our center, unplugging from the random arising thoughts, emotions, and sensory input. This is how we build our presence and awareness. Take time each day to love yourself! Your practice will support you and put you in the flow of life! Best wishes for your week! Feel the Love, and I'll see you next Monday! Happy April! In this week's Mmm, we practice a different breathing exercise to lead us in to our center: Breathe in to the count of six, breathe out to the count of 8, just for a few minutes before we sit in stillness. Take time each day to love yourself! Your practice will support you and put you in the flow of life! Best wishes for your week! Feel the Love, and I'll see you next week! In this week's Mmm, we acknowledge this particular week only because it is a tradition I am familiar with: Holy Week leading up to Easter. There are holy days and weeks in every spiritual tradition, and each observation has a powerful energy to it because thousands if not millions of people are gathering their energy for one purpose: honoring something greater than ourselves! So we take this Mmmeditation to acknowledge the Light of Holy Week, and the powerful spark of light in the middle of every atom and cell of our bodies! We magnify this light with our attention, and expand it to embrace our planet--which very much needs it! Being in the present moment with yourself is an act of Self Love! Take time each day to love yourself! Your practice will support you and put you in the flow of life! Best wishes for your week! Feel the Love, and I'll see you next Monday! You can always access the live meditations or join the Monday Morning Meditation (Mmm!) email list at the link on the homepage: https://www.CenterForDynamicHealing.com And you can subscribe to my YouTube channel to receive notices when each meditation is uploaded weekly. *See more from my spiritual home at https://www.CenterForEnlightenment.org I invite you to also try this beautiful meditation from my spiritual mentor, Jane Elizabeth Hart. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the "Guided Meditation" recording. Happy New Week! In this week's Mmm, we practice an emotional clearing technique inspired by a book I revisited this weekend called Emotional Clearing by John Ruskan. It is a powerful book, and I highly recommend it! We use part of Ruskan's process for witnessing emotions in the body, breathing through them, and allowing them to dissipate. It's not all that much different than we've mindfully practiced in many of our Mmms! If you'd like to learn more, Ruskan does a fabulous job describing this emotional clearing technique, and how to simply and effectively work with it in the body. And no, I'm not getting a kick-back if you buy his book! :) I just felt it valuable to share with you today! Take time each day to witness and allow each emotion arise and be freed from its stored place in your body. Your practice will support you and put you in the flow of life! Best wishes for your week! Feel the Love, and I'll see you next week! In this week's Mmm, we practice not "feeding the beast" of the wandering mind's false critical thoughts, and just BEING in peace. Practice your "attention muscle" every day! Lift your thoughts from negative conclusions into peaceful receptivity to the calm and clarity of the quiet mind. Take time throughout each day to be in your inner peace space. Your practice will support you and put you in the flow of life! Best wishes for your week! Feel the Love, and I'll see you next week! In today's Monday Morning Meditation (Mmm!), we smile through our time together! Using the social connection part of the vagus nerve system, smiling communicates to the whole mind/body system that we are safe, relaxed, and content. We can pull on that regulatory support simply by smiling! Remember that book and movie, "Eat, Pray, Love"? When Elizabeth Gilbert was in Bali, her meditation teacher told her to "Smile from your liver" while she practiced meditation. Why the liver? I can only guess that it 1) gets the attention away from the busy head/mind, 2) activates positive energy around the many functions of the liver. Try it out with us and see what happens! Enjoy, practice, and I'll see you next week! |
